Mapping the Measure of America

I thought that this map illustrated the information in an very user friendly manner.  Also, the amount of information supplied within the map is amazingly immense, and I love the fact that the user is able to change variables.Futhermore, the rest of the site is full of wonderful interactive data representations.

I really thought the use of 3D effects was verry neat in this map.  Overall, I felt that the map was extremely well done and the information portrayed was very intriguing. 

Geogamathing

This design was inspired by my fiance as he continues to claim that his "gills are drying up"..  The concept is intended to bring the beach to your own backyard.  The size is not much larger than the average pool and has the ability to generate waves up to 8 feet for perfect surf all year.  The operator can also choose the size of the wave on days that call for a calm soothing ocean, which may allow for it to become the optimal spot for teaching beginner surfers during peak surf in areas such as California and Hawaii.
